Always thaw frozen food properly!
Always thaw frozen food slowly, let it thaw in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
Do not place frozen food on the heater/oven, as it may start to emit fumes.
You can also thaw smaller frozen food such as baby mice and baby rats in cold water.
Depending on the food animal and its size, thawing frozen reptile food can take up to a day.

The frozen food must always be completely thawed before feeding!
Cats and birds of prey also accept frozen food as prey/food when it is at room temperature.
Snakes and lizards only see frozen food as prey/food when it has body temperature (approx. 35-40°C).

The shelf life of terrarium frozen food is at least 12 months at -18°C, so a food supply can be created.
